The Machine Is Bent In The Wrong Direction
If mankind is broken…
Then improvement isn’t enough.
You don’t fix corruption with education.
You don’t fix sin with information.
You don’t train a goblin into righteousness.
👉 You need transformation.
What Jesus Actually Taught
Jesus explained it this way:
“No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment…
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles…
but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.”
— Matthew 9:16–17
This isn’t complicated.
You don’t patch something that’s fundamentally broken.
👉 You replace it.
The Real Starting Point
That’s where Christianity actually begins:
Not with “you’re good.”
But with:
👉 “You’re not. You’re broken.”
The engine is blown.
It’s not a tune-up problem.
👉 It’s a replacement problem.
And that offends people.
Because it removes comparison.
You’re not “better than others.”
👉 You’re part of the same condition.
People understand this everywhere else:
- A corrupted system gets wiped
- A virus-infected machine gets reset
- A dead battery gets replaced
But spiritually?
👉 They resist it.
What A Christian Actually Is
A real Christian isn’t someone pretending to be good.
It’s someone who finally admits:
👉 “I’m the problem.”
The issue isn’t behavior.
👉 It’s rebellion.
And that’s where change begins.
What God Promised
Long before Jesus came, God already explained the solution.
Through the prophet Ezekiel:
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you…
and I will take away the stony heart… and give you an heart of flesh.” — Ezekiel 36:26
Not improved behavior.
👉 A new heart
👉 A new spirit
That’s transformation.
The Solution People Miss
Here’s where the confusion comes in.
People hear:
“Eternal life is a free gift.”
And assume:
👉 “Then I don’t have to do anything.”
That’s not true.
👉 A gift still has to be received.
What “The Lamb of God” Means
For thousands of years, Israel practiced something very specific:
Passover.
They were slaves in Egypt.
And judgment was coming.
The only way to live was this:
👉 A spotless lamb had to die
👉 Its blood had to be applied to the door
If the blood was there…
👉 death passed over
If it wasn’t…
👉 judgment came
This was an act of faith.
Some people likely thought it was foolish.
Some thought it was unnecessary.
Some didn’t believe God would actually do what He said.
And they were wrong.
That wasn’t random.
👉 That was a picture.
Jesus Was The Fulfillment
When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he said:
👉 “Behold the Lamb of God.”
That wasn’t symbolic language.
👉 That was identification.
Jesus wasn’t just a teacher.
👉 He was the sacrifice.
👉 The Son of God.
The Same Choice Still Exists
You don’t get saved by being “better.”
You don’t get saved by religion.
You don’t get saved by effort.
👉 You get saved the same way Israel did:
👉 By the blood being applied to your heart — by faith.
Scripture says:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Saved from what?
👉 Judgment.
God looks for one thing:
👉 Is the blood there?
The Simplest Picture
Two men were crucified next to Jesus.
Both saw Him.
Both heard Him.
Both were dying.
Both had nothing to offer.
No works. No time. No leverage.
One rejected Him.
One said:
👉 “We deserve this… He doesn’t.”
👉 “Lord, remember me…”
And Jesus said:
👉 “Today you will be with me in paradise.”
Same moment.
Same evidence.
👉 Different response.
No different today.
The Part Most Miss
Which thief are you?
Was one better than the other?
👉 No.
What are you going to do to impress God?
👉 You can’t.
What could they do?
👉 Nothing.
God is only satisfied with His Son.
👉 Only His blood can save you.
That’s The Line
You either:
👉 believe and receive
or
👉 reject and stand on your own
There is no third option.
What Happens Next (The Part No One Explains)
Once that happens…
👉 Something changes.
Not externally first.
👉 Internally.
God works from the inside → outward
Satan works from the outside → inward
God gives you:
- a new heart
- a new spirit
But your:
- mind
- will
- emotions
👉 still crave the old way
That’s the real battle.
Not to obtain eternal life…
👉 But to stop living like you’re not saved.
The Invitation
You don’t have to stay in rebellion.
You don’t have to keep pretending.
You don’t have to keep justifying what you already know is wrong.
You can be forgiven.
You can be changed.
Not by earning it.
👉 But by receiving it.
