Let’s stop pretending for a second.
Look at human behavior without filters.
Greed
Lust
Power
Deception
Violence
Not just in history.
Not just in ancient times.
👉 Right now.
What Scripture Already Said
Over 2,000 years ago, this was already defined clearly:
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” — I John 2:16
That’s not poetic language.
That’s a diagnosis.
Three drivers behind human behavior:
- What you want
- What you see
- What you want others to think about you
And those three things explain… almost everything.
A Better Description Of Mankind
So let’s be honest.
“Basically good” doesn’t hold up.
A more accurate description?
👉 Goblins with intelligence.
Not monsters.
Not animals.
Something in between:
- Capable of good
- Drawn to evil
- Constantly justifying both
This Isn’t Behavior… It’s A Pattern
We don’t just do bad things.
We:
- rationalize them
- profit from them
- normalize them
We build entire systems around them.
And every system in the world quietly admits it:
- Laws
- Prisons
- Governments
- Contracts
All built around one assumption:
👉 You can’t fully trust people.
The Part People Don’t Want To Hear
Jesus didn’t soften this.
He said directly:
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do…” — John 8:44
That’s another reason they wanted Him dead.
Because He didn’t blame the system.
He exposed the source.
The Real Problem
This isn’t political.
It’s not education.
It’s not environment.
It’s not better technology.
It’s not “self-improvement.”
👉 It’s our fallen nature.
So if that’s true…
If this isn’t a glitch…
but the actual condition of mankind…
